Why Bulgaria? - The Country

Do you already have your own answer to ‘Why Bulgaria?’

Maybe your interest has been stimulated by TV programmes about Bulgaria.

Or, perhaps:

  • You want to holiday, live or retire in a beautiful country that is virtually undiscovered by the masses.
  • You are looking for a more interesting or more affordable alternative to France, Spain and the rest of Europe.
  • You have been made aware of the investment potential from real estate advisers.
  • You realise the unprecedented capital and growth potential now that Bulgaria is part of Europe.

If you don’t already have the answer to ‘Why Bulgaria’ this site will give you all the information required to tempt you into a visit so you can find out for yourself.

A few facts
The Black Sea is to the east, Romania is to the north, Greece and Turkey are to the south of Bulgaria.

Bulgaria is roughly the size of England and for many years it has been a much favoured holiday area for the rest of Europe.

Countryside tranquillity, or city, town and resort excitement offer excellent sources of holiday homes with letting opportunities, all year bolt holes, full time residencies, ‘good life’ smallholdings, and the ever increasing choice of retirement homes.

The seasons are similar to UK and they seem to follow all the ‘rules’ of seasons!  Autumn is autumn and doesn’t make a visit in the middle of summer.  Summer is as hot, bright and clear as it should be.  Winters can be colder than the UK, but crisp instead of the damp, dank atmosphere that UK residents find so depressing.  Spring is beautiful and the

speed of colour changes in the scenery is truly amazing.  The rural areas have their own natural beauty and remarkable landscapes; all within a mile or so of the built up areas.

Bulgaria is a new destination for foreign property buyers, investors and developers; it is just waiting to be discovered and offers brilliant opportunities.  Its economy is growing rapidly and with the European Union entry being complete, this is already bringing in funds which is greatly improving the infrastructure.
Regular direct flights from UK to Varna are now available throughout the year and the low cost airlines are watching developments very closely.

Considering these facts now is the time to purchase property that is still very affordable.  It is still very much like France and Spain were up to twenty years ago.  Properties that require some renovation to bring them up to standard are on offer at prices comparable to UK prices forty years ago.

So if you are even slightly interested, do some research and act now to make sure you don’t leave it too late!
